Langaat Desktop

Dub movies & music. Clone your voice.
All on your own machine.

The desktop app runs the GPU-heavy work — dubbing, voice cloning, lip-sync — locally on your device, so your media never leaves your machine. The cloud only handles translation. Requires a GPU with 8–24 GB VRAM (CUDA or Apple Metal).

⚠ Required first step on macOS (dev build, not yet notarized). After downloading, macOS quarantines the app and shows “…is damaged” or “Apple could not verify … is free of malware.” That's Gatekeeper on an un-notarized build — not real malware. Open the .dmg, drag Langaat Desktop into Applications, then run:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Langaat Desktop.app"
open "/Applications/Langaat Desktop.app"

Prefer no terminal? Try to open it, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → “Open Anyway.” (On macOS Sequoia 15+ the old right-click → Open trick no longer works — use the command or “Open Anyway.”) Signed, notarized installers with no manual step ship via CI once an Apple Developer certificate is configured.

Prefer to build from source?

cd desktop/src-tauri
cargo tauri build # produces a native installer under target/release/bundle/

You'll need Rust, ffmpeg, and the Tauri v2 CLI. Set your cloud API base + a developer API key in the app's Connection panel. On first run the app uses built-in stubs; drop in the model sidecars (Whisper / Demucs / XTTS / Wav2Lip / DiffSinger — see the desktop README) for real output.

By using voice cloning and media translation you agree you are responsible for the rights to the material you process and only clone voices you own or are authorized to use.
